Hello world!

Intro and rambling about birds, statues, time travel and who knows.

What’s up? Hello? Should I be super formal? Or chill? My name is K.E.Yori Keyori. Laggy. I have a ““““real””” name somewhere, but too many years surfing the web has always made me wary of freely giving that out. Not like it matters, it’s easy enough to find if you try. Old habits just die hard. It starts with an “E” though and ends with a type of car. Figure it out.

Anyway, I was shown this website by a friend Matt Bartosiewicz , So I said y’know what? Screw it. I’ll give it a shot.

I like to write. Been a hobby since I was a wee lad. I used to scribble out stories on paper plates, because it was the only material I had to write on. I then realized that oh wait, I have a computer, I can type on THERE. Which led to me writing a bizarre story about a young boy who entered his toy box to find a series of totally not copyrighted material to save the world, along with a girl he met in the toybox world.

I wish I could show you said story, but regrettably I nuked it from existence. The tale of “Po and Jill” will never be told again, because I was a shy boy who didn’t like the fact my family found my writing at nine years old.

Anyways, Because of said experience I stopped for a long while, picking it up again when I was… fifteen? With some ideas about time travel, time loops and fantasy stories. My biggest inspiration was Mother of Learning, a series I love so much I was one of the top pledgers for the kickstarter. Earning me two statues that only ten exist in the world. Yeah yeah, I know, awesome right?

Yes, I did put a stupidly expensive statue next my little birdy (his name is Roxas).

Anyways, I’ve been writing on and off for a few years, I had the idea for my first book mulling around in my head, but didn’t really put it down into words till I entered college. At least, the first chapter. The moment I realized my writing wasn’t too bad was when I did win a small award at my college for a short story called ‘Cereal’. Which I will share in here eventually!

I finished my book ‘Epoch’ in 2022. It was really really awesome having a finished, done and readable book. One that you could print and hold and everything! Dog ear it, tear it apart, set on fire, either way I had A BOOK!

Life hit me kind of hard though, so my writing slowed down after I wrote it. But now that things are stable again, I wanna take this writing thing seriously. So I’m gonna!

I’ve been on a poetry kick, something that I also used to do quite frequency in college. I like poetry thats more… To the point? Or rather not glossed up with flowery prose and words. This is the nerd/weeb in me coming out, but if you’ve ever read Doki Doki Literature Club, I think Natsuki poems are the ideal type of poem, and it’s the kind of style I like to try to hit.

So to sum up. I’m a 25 year old writer who like to make Fantasy/sci-fi stories, and poems about any sort of topic that moves me. Expect subjects like time travel or quantum weirdness as I do like those topics. And god forbid if I ever go the full anime writing route. The world isn’t ready for that.
